Al Crysta
After completing the main quest "The Bandaged Girl and the Mysterious Warriors" in the beginning of Episode 3, you will be able to use Al Crystas.
Al Crystas are not like regular Crystas, you don't actually put them in pieces of equipment. Instead, they are equipped to your character and shown on the Menu>Character>Status screen. Up to 5 al crystas can be equipped, but they can not be of the same type. You will have to use items such as Extract Crysta to remove them unless you choose to destroy them.
Al Crystas are displayed as triangles in the ore section. They can be green, red, or blue. The color of the al crysta is random when dropped.

Al Crystas can be equipped on the screen above. Putting al crystas next to each other gives bonuses. Observe how placing green al crystas next to red ones will draw a yellow line. Blue and green crystas make a light-blue line and red and blue crystas make a purple line.
Light-blue lines - Increase MATK, Magic Pierce, and Magic Power
Yellow lines - Increase ATK, Physical Pierce, and Physical Power
Purple lines - Increase Autoskill rate, critical rate, and attack speed
Blue lines - Increase MP, Magic Defense, and MP Natural Recover
Green lines - Increase evasion, magic evasion, and absolute evasion
Red lines - Increase HP, Defense, and HP Natural Recovery
