Hello, and welcome to Frare's Iruna Online Starter's Guide (n-n)/
The first thing you want to consider when creating an Iruna Online account is what job you'd like to be. Make sure you distribute your status points (go to Character>Status) in the right categories to complement your future class.
Paladin - INT/VIT
Gladiator - STR/AGI
Sniper - DEX/STR
Assassin - AGI/CRT
High Wizard - INT/DEX/CRT or VIT
Enchanter - INT/DEX
Bishop - INT/VIT
Monk - AGI/CRT
Samurai - VIT/DEX/AGI
Ninja - AGI/CRT
Minstrel - VIT/INT
Don't just pick a random job because it sounds cool, research it. Talk to your guild members about their classes. If you don't have a guild yet, don't worry, just ask around. Your guild members will help you with your questions and support you, just don't beg for equipment or help leveling!
If you want to level as quickly as possible, you'll need to use your main quest (often abbreviated as MQ).
It is the mission at the the top of the list when you go to Character>Quest. You can easily level to over Lv150 by using your MQ, but don't just rush through it. When doing your MQ, use the "Chat" button, not the "Quest" button when talking to NPCs. Sometimes groups of people with similar levels on the same main quest will team up and go from MQ boss to boss. This is a very effective way to level without asking for help. It's always okay for you to ask someone outside of a boss room to help you (remember to say please >0<), but don't beg them to help you go to the next boss, give you equipment, etc.
Hopefully you've picked what class you want now and are distributing your status points in the right categories. It's time to save up your spina and buy some nice equipment! At your level, the best place to farm for spina will be in Rokoko Plains. When you get 99 Broken Staffs (99 of something is called a stack), you can sell it for 15,000 spina.
The next thing you can do is slay Kijimus in Sofya Outskirts and sell the items you get to the merchant in Sofya City.
------------------------------------- A quick trading tutorial -----------------------------------------------
Looking to buy or sell an item? Rokoko City is the place you should go, preferably on the first server. This is where most people on the game come to trade.
Tips:
"B" means buying
"S" means selling
"NS" means no slot
"S" means slotted
"Up" means the item has been upgraded
"Stack" means 99 of an item.
"Xtal" means crysta
To trade, you must be in the same map as the person you are trading with. You must also be in a party with them, or be their friend. Go to Community>Target>the person's name, and click "Invite to Party" or "Add friend". If there is pink text saying "Party Invite Failed", it means that person is currently in a party, and you will have to add them as a friend to trade with them.
When trading, pick the item/s you want to trade and the quantity. To choose the quantity, double tap the name of the item, and type in the quantity (cannot exceed 99).
When tapping on equipment, you'll see a description box on the left. Tap the box to switch the page so you can see, for example, if it is slotted. Make sure before you click "Accept" that the other person has added what they promised to pay/trade to you. Why did your trade fail? Either one of the two traders has a full inventory, or someone clicked "Cancel".
Finally, push "Done" to proceed. Check what the other person is trading. Is it what you agreed on? If not, push cancel. ALWAYS double check to make sure you both are getting what you agreed on. This is the one and only way you can prevent yourself from getting scammed.
Tip:
If an item is green, it's a crysta
If an item is white, it's a collectible, consumable, ore, or recovery item
If an item is blue, it's a slotted equipment
If an item is red, it's a non-slotted equipment.
Time for a trading mini-quiz!!! Let's say you want to buy some armor with 500,000 spina. A person trades with you, wanting to trade you something called "Scarlet Armor". You've never heard of it, but it seems pretty good.
So the trade starts, you put in 500k, the other person puts in Scarlet Armor. When you get to the trading final page, you see that the item Scarlet Armor is white. What do you do?
If you said "don't trade it", you are correct! Now don't get too excited because you win nothing.
The reason you shouldn't trade is because "Scarlet Armor" was white. This means it is not a piece of equipment. If the equipment was blue or red, you should have traded.
Don't Forget:
To check the stats of a piece of equipment when trading, tap on its description to "turn the page". This will show you the amount of slots, the attack, or the defense
-------------------------------------- Questions you were too embarrassed to ask ------------------------
We all started out as level 1 players, slaying Chakos to level up. Chances are, you had a lot of stupid questions, like me.
Skills
First, I'm going to start with adding shortcuts. Go to Settings>Shortcuts and add all of the shortcuts you want to use. Shortcuts can be skills, items, equipment, or even emotions your character can display. For example, you could have a shortcut for Mini Heal or Protection. To get skills, you will need to talk to Varuna in Fort Bailune at level 10. Eventually that Mini Heal or Protection will level up to a level 2. You will have to go back to the shortcuts page, and manually replace the Mini Heal 1 with Mini Heal 2, or whatever your skill is. Some skills are called
"Passive", which means you can not essentially "summon" them, and they are not skills you use MP to use.
Teleports
The next thing you'll want to know about is teleports. You can buy teleports from most merchants, and some even drop from monsters. The first teleport that is available in the game is from the merchant in Rokoko City. There you can buy a ★Rokoko City teleport or a ★Fort Bailune teleport. You can tell if an item is a teleport because it will have a star by it. If you consume the teleport, you will be moved to the location described.
Storing and Destroying Items
Why am I destroying stuff? If your bag exceeds 50 different types of items, you will be forced to delete one of the types to clean up more room. If you can, you should get to a merchant and sell the extra items you don't need.
When you get to the merchant, you can also put items you'll need later (but don't need to have in your bag) inside of your Storage. Just click "Storage", and you'll find your storage, where you can fit 50 items inside of to never lose. You can access your storage from any merchant. You can also expand your maximum storage space in the item shop.
Locking Items
Have that item you reallly really can absolutely NOT lose? Tap on the item's name and push the "Lock" button. This will prevent you from selling, trading, destroying, or consuming the item.
Crystas
I remember trying to figure out what a crysta was. I had just gotten this item from the Colon Stamp gift called "Extract Crysta". I had a HP +20 on my Odium (it's a bow), and did not know it was a so-called crysta. So of course, I extracted it using my Extract Crysta. Big mistake, I could have used that Extract Crysta to get 3 million spina >_<
So how do crystas work, and what's all this talk about no slot and slotted items?
There are two types of equipment, slotted and not slotted. This is commonly abbreviated as "ns" and "s".
Slotted equipments can have crystas put on them, while no slot ones can not.
How do I know if my equipment has a slot or not?
The easiest method is to go to MENU>CHARACTER>EQUIPMENT, then tap on the equipment you'd like to check. In the lower right corner, there should be a little box that says "Crysta". If a menu pops up when you tap on it, it is slotted. If not, it is not slotted. You can also tap on the description of an item to show the attack and slot (right under the window displaying your character). A third way to check if an item is slotted or not is to go to a merchant and tap "Sell". If the item pops up in blue text, it is slotted, red text, and it is not.
Removing Crystas
Removing a crysta from an equipment is very expensive most of the time. There are three different ways to remove a crysta: destroy it, use an Extract Crysta (from the Colon Stamp Rally/boxes/shop), or use an Empty Crysta.
An Empty Crysta is a tradeable, in-game item, that has an 80% chance of removing of removing the crysta. There is a 20% chance that the crysta inside the equipment can be destroyed or will not be removed. Using the item "Empty Crysta", whether it works or not, will destroy the item.
An Extract Crysta is an item you can get from the Colon Stamp Rally, purchase individually from the Item Shop (400 coins), or get randomly from boxes. These have a 100% chance of removing a crysta.
Some people offer "extract crysta" services. In this process, the buyer sends an equipment to the extracter, so they may extract the crysta with their Extract Crysta item, then trade it back to the buyer for a fee. This can often lead to scams (stolen items), and is not recommended unless you 100% trust the person you are going to work with.
The last way to get rid of a crysta is to destroy it. Just go to MENU>My Character>Equipment, then tap on the "Crysta" button and push "Destroy". If you use this method, you can not get the crysta back you destroyed. You should only use this method if you are destroying a cheap crysta.
